Layover in Newark

We arrived a little ahead of schedule. There were supposed to be 2 wheelchairs waiting for my husband and I but instead there was only one. This was a bit frustrating. The United employee with the chair argued with me about it and we were stuck with only 1 wheelchair. My amazing husband walked while I got wheeled. We arrived in Terminal A and departed from Terminal C. This was quite a journey. We took the air train (INTERNAL BUS SYSTEM).

Once at our gate we verified with the staff that we will indeed have the 2 wheelchairs in Cancun. The gate agent was very distracted with her phone and not wanting to assist. This concerned me but since we had a couple of hours layover I figured I would ask again when another agent got to the gate.

Terminal C was laid out ok. At first glance it looks like lots of seating. There was a Wendy’s and Dunkin Donuts at our gate. Another restaurant nearby but I didn’t stop to see what it was. I say it looks like a lot of seating because yes there is ample seating. However, if you are larger in size there is hardly any seating. All of the chairs are bolted down.
